3. Performance plan – comes in at £8.69 per month. This package offers unlimited hosted domains, 500 GB web space, unlimited monthly data transfer, a free domain name registration, 1000 email accounts and 3 MS-SQL databases @800 MB.

OVH Web Hosting Reliability

We can say that OVH service is very cheap but you pay what you get for. The reason OVH are so cheap is because their hardware reliability is not up to the same standard as let’s say Rackspace. Because it’s cheap they spend less time making sure the servers are in fit condition before sale, and more time on taking your money.

We have investigated about their service and found their uptime guarantee is not so good. In OVH’s terms of use, it states that it is the customer’s responsibility to consult the website database for technical self-help when problems arise, before reporting the incident to the company and getting in line for a service ticket. While this approach is logical, we find that other companies seem more willing to help customers with any problem, night or day.

Can we recommend OVH?

We recommend OVH for its CMS options, e-commerce configurations, control panel flexibility, reliability, and extensive hosting options.
